THE KANE STUDENT HANDBOOK
VALUES
Kane Academy highly values intelligence, talent, and ambition. Members of the Student Council are respected and looked up to, top students are sought after, those excelling in extracurriculars and clubs are esteemed, and class rankings are very important.
UNIFORM
KA uniforms are custom-made per each student. There are two options for shirt colors—black or white. Most students have several of each.
(You could probably have already guessed this, but Zero only has black.)

STUDENT RANKING
Students are ranked twice a semester, after midterms and after finals. This rank is separated by grade level and is used to determine many factors in a student’s life. There is also an unofficial ranking revealed at the end of every week to give students an idea of where they stand and what they will have to score on the midterm and final to maintain or improve their standing. While rank is mostly determined through tests and assignments, factors such as attendance, individual class placement, club activities, and outstanding achievements also contribute to a student’s overall placement.
Your ranking will give you a certain number of credits that are sent to you ID card and can be used for various things, including spending money at stores and for food, but also certain locations are only open to students with a certain number of points. It also decides what dorm room/which roommates you have, if your room has its own bathroom, and how many clubs you’re allowed to partake in.

CLASSES
Classes typically have fewer than 25 students and never more than 25. At Kane Academy, since it is home to the academically elite, students are allowed to take whatever courses they want at what time/year they want as long as they are given permission, pass the teacher’s entrance exam, or have the credits to do so. Because of this, classes tend to have a mix of students from different grade levels. Usually, this difference isn’t more than two years.
Teachers & Faculty: Just as KA is prestigious in terms of the students admitted, it is also highly selective with its chosen teachers. Each year has roughly two teachers per main subject, like English, History, etc.
THE KANE NETWORK

KA Chat is a chatroom app used by nearly everyone in the school. This is their main form of communication (and where rumors are often passed along), allowing them to contact any other student as long as they know their name.
